Diary of a Miniature Schnauzer Mum

Getting a miniature schnauzer puppy
So, Friday was the big day, I took a half day off work and Jason and I drove to Heathfield to pick up Buckley. When we got to the house a few other people were also there to pick up their little pups. It broke my heart to take Buckley away from his mum, dad, brothers and sisters. I wasn't sure how he would handle the two hour car ride home, despite being a bit wriggly and crying for his mum a little bit he was as good as gold!

Today is Buckley's 4th day in his new home, and he is settling in so well. He is a little terror and loves lots of attention and cuddles! It almost doesn't seem real that we have him. He doesn't car much for the toys and bed we bought for him, he is just happy to sleep on my feet!

Last night he met Dan and Ej's french bulldog, Corbin, and was not taken aback at all, which was awesome!

Nicki is coming over today to hang with us, I can't wait!

My mum and brother came over to visit Buckley yesterday. Since Jason and I bought our house I knew that I wanted a lavender and rose garden. Which, we are nowhere near achieving. So, my mum sowed some lavender seeds, and she brought them over yesterday, they smell so good. Not to mention that having lavender in your garden helps bees to stop becoming an endangered species.

Some other things that have happened over the past week:

Jason and I met up with Nicki and Ruari last weekend and had lunch at the Greedy Cow (always so good) and had ice creams on Margate harbour arm.

Last Monday was Luke and Nai's wedding. It was such a lovely day and Nai looked beautiful. The Turner Gallery is a great venue for a wedding reception. Going to their wedding has got me thinking about lots of things for when Jason and I get married.

I've also been training for the half marathon at the end of September, I'm starting to get a bit worried about it, but I can definitely see and feel the benefits of running 3-4 times a week! I'm still £95 away from hitting my target.
