The tea rose in our garden has started to blossom!

This morning I went to order bridesmaid dresses for Ellie and Ej, only to find that one of the sizes was no longer available. So frustrating! 

I met Ej at the Cupcake Cafe for cream tea, which was amazing, just what I needed. Ej is the voice of reason on so many things! She told me some things about keeping chickens (her mum used to have some), and thinking about it, I honestly can't see myself outside in the freezing cold in winter cleaning out a chicken coop, not to mention some of the problems they get, mites, worms, and sometimes chickens will start to eat their own eggs!! I haven't hung out with Ej properly in quite a while and it was super lovely!

 

 

I got home to find Jason had taken up the carpet to reveal the original Victorian floorboards! They need sanding and varnishing but it's already is a massive improvement. 

Tomorrow night is Lindy Hop, it makes Mondays so much more bearable. I've also been looking into getting some proper dancing shoes and I've found two pairs I really like. I prefer the brogues but the mary-janes would be good for summer.
