Contemplating Chickens

A lot has happened this past week.

Tuesday - Jason and I had our house warming bbq. It rained, of course! It didn't spoil it too much, everyone just had to cram inside. We were lucky enough to receive some lovely house warming cards and gifts.

Thursday - Jason and I went to Charing and met the Reverend who will be doing our wedding. She was so interesting and lovely, and gave us lots of details about the service and what it would involve. Next time we see her we will be discussing the hard times in marriage what we find annoying about each other! I had put off doing anything wedding related for a while, but now I am back into the full swing of things and planning once again!

Friday - I went to my mum's in Charing (the most beautiful village in Kent) and Ellie came over to help with wedding related things. We spent most of the evening looking at flowers and bridesmaids dresses, which I will be ordering tomorrow for Ellie and Ej! We also went for a wander around the village and I took Ellie to the church barn (the venue for our wedding reception), I'm slightly worried about how many people it can hold: 65 for the sit down meal and 84 max in the evening. When I booked this I thought it would be plenty but after compiling a rough guest list I'm already having to cross names out so I'm starting to get a bit worried! Not only that, I hope it's suitable for the caterers we want too!

Today - My mum and I went to a garden centre, I spent most of my time eyeing up the David Austen roses and some lavender. We then went to Badgers Hill Farm, one of my favourite places. I mainly wanted to go and see the chickens. I've thought about having chickens for quite a while (probably from when I knew Jason and I would be buying our house). It's taken a while to bring Jason round the idea and he's finally said yes! As long as I take full responsibility for them. But now I'm worried that they would annoy the neighbours, I would just want to get three hens, so I don't think they'd make too much noise, maybe I could keep the neighbours sweet with eggs!
I also bought some cute ribbon today, which I'll be doing something with for the table decorations for the wedding.

I'm not sure what I'd do without Ellie, she has been the biggest help to me whenever it comes to anything at all  <3
